Roll Off Rentals & Junk Hauling in Bushland, TX

Bushland is acreage country. Big lots, big shops, and no city pickup, which means anything larger than household trash is your problem to move. We bring the container or the crew out I-40 and take it off your hands.

Hauling in Bushland

Bushland sits about 15 miles west of Amarillo on I-40, out along the old Route 66 corridor. It is an unincorporated community straddling southwestern Potter and Randall counties with roughly 2,200 to 2,500 residents, and it has grown steadily as people move out of town for space.

It is a different kind of job from Amarillo or Canyon, and the reason comes down to two things: lot size and the absence of a city.

No city pickup, bigger lots

Bushland is not an incorporated city. There is no municipal alley dumpster service the way there is in Amarillo, which changes the calculation entirely for anything larger than a normal household bag of trash.

Add to that the property itself. Homes out here typically sit on an acre or more, and a lot of them were built with large detached workshops, equipment barns, or outbuildings. That is one of the main reasons people buy in Bushland, along with Bushland ISD.

Those buildings accumulate. A thirty-year-old shop on five acres holds an amount of material that genuinely surprises the people who own it, usually right when they decide to sell or clear it out.

What we do here

  • Roll off rentals. The practical option for property owners with room to place a container and a project that runs more than a weekend.
  • Clean outs. Shops, barns, outbuildings, and full property clears where we bring the labor.
  • Eviction haul offs. Available, though rarely needed out here. More on that below.

Almost nobody rents in Bushland

Worth being straight about this, because it shapes what we actually get called for.

Traditional rental property, apartments, and multi-family housing are close to nonexistent in Bushland. The market is nearly all owner-occupied single-family homes on acreage, generally in a higher price bracket than central Amarillo.

So the eviction and tenant-turnover work that keeps us busy in Canyon barely exists here. What we get called for instead is property work: somebody clearing a shop, emptying a barn, tearing off a roof, cleaning up after a build, or preparing an estate for sale.

If you are looking for tenant turnover work, that is Canyon and Amarillo.

The jobs that come up out here

Shop and barn clear outs. Decades of tools, scrap metal, lumber offcuts, old equipment, and parts for machines that left the property years ago.

Acreage cleanup. Old fencing, brush, downed limbs, and whatever the wind moved. Panhandle wind rearranges a property in ways that require a truck.

Renovation and new construction debris. Bushland has ongoing custom home building, and those job sites need somewhere for waste to go.

Estate and pre-sale clears. When a property that has been in one family for a long time goes on the market, the outbuildings usually need to be empty first.

Roof tear-offs. Hail comes through the Panhandle regularly, and roof work follows it.

Access is usually easy, which helps

One genuine advantage to working Bushland: space.

In older parts of Amarillo we sometimes have to talk through whether a truck can physically get a container into a tight alley. Out here that is rarely the issue. There is room to place a container where you actually want it, room for the truck to maneuver, and usually a gravel or caliche surface that handles the weight without concern.

What we do want to know in advance is the driveway situation on longer properties and whether any gates or cattle guards limit what can get back to where the work is.

How far out do you go?

Bushland is inside our normal service area, roughly a 30-mile radius from Amarillo, so it is a standard run rather than a special trip.

If you are further west toward Wildorado or out on one of the county roads past Bushland, call anyway. We will tell you honestly whether it works.

How do I get a price out here?

Call or text (806) 290-0166. For a shop or barn clear out, photos are worth far more than a description, because volume is the entire question and buildings that size are hard to estimate in words.

For anything large we would rather drive out and look at it. That costs you nothing and it gets you a number that holds. Send the details here to get started.
